The Mercedes SL R107: sporty, light, yet built with the solid luxury only our German neighbors truly understand. The new SL was introduced in 1971 and was a tremendous sales success from the very start — something that wasn’t entirely self-evident.
At the time, the car was more expensive than a Ferrari 246GT Dino and twice the price of a Jaguar E-Type. While its value dropped significantly back then, in recent years it has proven to be a very smart investment. As a classic, it performs beautifully — true value for money.
