La Austin-Healey 100/6 è una delle sportive inglesi più eleganti degli anni ’50. Presentata nel 1956 dalla collaborazione tra la Austin Motor Company e la Donald Healey Motor Company, sostituiva la precedente Austin-Healey 100 introducendo un nuovo motore a sei cilindri in linea da 2.6 litri, da cui deriva il nome “100/6”. Era una vettura pensata per unire prestazioni sportive e piacere di guida su strada, molto apprezzata soprattutto negli Stati Uniti.
L’esemplare del 1958 appartiene alla seconda serie, caratterizzata da una meccanica più evoluta e da una migliore distribuzione del peso. Ancora oggi la 100/6 è considerata un’icona del design britannico: linea lunga e bassa, cofano importante e uno stile classico che rappresenta perfettamente l’epoca d’oro delle roadster inglesi.
La nostra Austin-Healey 100/6 del 1958, di colore rosso, ha subito un restauro qualche anno fa. Attualmente si presenta in buone condizioni sia di carrozzeria sia di motore, mantenendo il fascino e il carattere originale di questa storica sportiva inglese.

The Austin-Healey 100/6 is one of the most elegant British sports cars of the 1950s. Introduced in 1956 through a collaboration between the Austin Motor Company and the Donald Healey Motor Company, it replaced the previous Austin-Healey 100 with a new 2.6-liter inline-six engine, hence the name "100/6." Designed to combine sporty performance with driving pleasure on the road, it was highly regarded, especially in the United States.
The 1958 model belongs to the second series, featuring more advanced mechanicals and improved weight distribution. Even today, the 100/6 is considered an icon of British design: its long, low line, prominent hood, and classic styling perfectly represent the golden age of British roadsters.
Our 1958 Austin-Healey 100/6, in red, underwent a restoration a few years ago. It is currently in good condition, both body and engine, retaining the charm and original character of this historic English sports car.
