We are delighted to offer, once again, this stealthily finished, ultra-low mileage V8 Vantage AMR Roadster, in Scintilla Silver with Ceramic Grey AMR stripe, over a Pure Black Alcantara interior with Phantom Grey accents and a Black convertible hood.
Launched to coincide with the 2017 Le Mans 24-hour race, where Aston Martin Racing secured its momentous GTE class victory, Aston Martin unveiled what became the final production derivative of the VH2 V8 Vantage, the V8 Vantage AMR.
Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, the AMR sub-brand, first shown on the Rapide AMR, amplifies and accentuates the sporting prowess of the British marque’s road cars, by taking inspiration or direct influence from Aston Martin Racing’s participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The V8 Vantage AMR was powered by a 430 bhp 4735cc normally aspirated V8 engine and was available with either the 7-speed Sportshift II or 6-speed manual transmission. The example we now offer is specified with the desirable, often overlooked, Sportshift II gearbox.
Production of the V8 Vantage AMR coupe and Roadster began in the final quarter of 2017 and was limited to just 200 examples. This example is one of just 28 UK RHD V8 Vantage AMR Roadsters.
In addition to its standard V8 Vantage AMR specification, notable optional extras chosen here include: Aston Martin 700W Premium Audio, Dark Anodised brake calipers, full length Twill Carbon fascia trim, Lightweight Mesh front grille, Piano Black interior trim pack, front parking sensors and reversing camera, gloss Carbon Fibre mirror caps, AM Wings headrest embroidery, (Heated) Sports Seats, Carbon tail lamp finishers and 5-spoke Satin Black wheels. First registered in June 2018, having covered just 4,000 miles from new and benefitting from regular Aston Martin servicing, our pre-sale inspection confirms this car is in immaculate condition throughout.
Whilst many enthusiasts gravitate to the V12 powered Vantage, at current prices, the V8 Vantage AMR in our opinion, should not be overlooked, with ample power and a nimbleness from the tuned and highly developed chassis. The V8 Vantage ‘Laying a legitimate claim to being one of the most beautiful car designs ever put into production’ (Evo Magazine, 2017), the V8 Vantage AMR was fitting swansong to the highly successful 13-year production run.
