Yamaha TX 500
The TX 500 was officially unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1975 and sold from 1976. The bike was a huge success: in Europe alone over 130,000 were sold. This bike has a clean, elegant line, underlining its performance: reliable, pacific and ideal for adventurous journeys. The TX 500 has a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, single-shaft 499 cc engine, dry casing lubrication (the oil is in the upper spine of the closed cradle frame), Mikuni 34 carburettor, five-speed gear and dual shocks on the rear suspension. The power output is 30 hp at 5,800 rpm with a maximum speed of 150 km/h.
