Description

**VW T2b Westfalia Camper, year 1979, 2000cm³, 51kW / 70HP

**Once again, a beautiful T2 camper has found its way to us: Taiga green, with original Westfalia Berlin camping equipment, 4 sleeping berths and a large pop-top roof.

Our T2 camper was produced at the VW plant in Hanover and, like many of its kind, was delivered to the USA. A few years ago, it finally made its way back to Germany, was extensively refurbished in 2017 at the workshop associated with us, and sold to a classic VW enthusiast known to us.

He, like his previous owners, treated the bus with care and maintained it exceptionally well. This is the only way to explain its good condition -- inside and out. A few years ago, the Bulli received a high-quality repaint, giving it a wonderful, fresh appearance. The surfaces are exceptionally straight, with excellent transitions and ribs and panel gaps as they left the factory.

This camper is equally impressive inside. All the upholstery in the original green-and-yellow Westfalia pattern shows only minor signs of use, as do the door panels and floor coverings.

The Westfalia Berlin camping equipment is complete and original.

The pop-top tent with three windows (with mosquito screens) is undamaged - we renewed it in 2017.

Our Bulli is equipped with the sought-after, air-cooled 2-liter boxer engine (Type 4). As a US model, it is already equipped with a Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection system, meaning it starts immediately even after being parked for a longer period. With its 70HP, it also cuts a fine figure as a camper. The engine was completely overhauled in 2017 with new bearings, cylinders, pistons, etc. Since then, it has covered only a few thousand kilometers. This means the engine is now perfectly run in. The engine starts within the first few revolutions of the crankshaft, immediately settles into a stable idle and revs willingly without hesitation.

There is no question that this engine provides great enjoyment when traveling in the camper - both on short outings and on long-distance journeys.

With front disc brakes including a brake booster, this bus is able to keep up with today's traffic both briskly and safely.

You will receive the camper ready to drive immediately, including a brief appraisal for your insurance as well as a fresh general inspection and H appraisal.

Our Bulli is available for viewing and a test drive by appointment at the Oldtimer-Galerie-Alzenau.

Even a long journey is worthwhile; this bus is worth it! We will be happy to make you an attractive offer for transport right to your garage.
