Description

Triumph TR3A, year 1961.

Exterior finished in dark green with a dark red leather interior trimmed with white piping and dark red carpet. Black mohair soft top and tonneau cover.

This rugged and charming Triumph TR3A was extensively restored about twenty years ago.

The car was driven and maintained with care and is still in a superb top condition!

During the restoration the mechanical components were also overhauled; everything looks, feels, and sounds perfectly; like the restoration was done in recent years.

The Triumph TR3 was the first production car fitted with disc brakes at the front wheels and a rugged sports car with rally and racing pedigree.

The powerful 100 bhp four-cylinder engine and it rugged build made the Triumph TR3A serious competitor in the racing and rally scenes of the 1950s and 1960s. The Triumph TR3A stands as a symbol of post war optimism: simple, tough, and endlessly fun to drive.

This example is fitted with silver painted wire wheels, Lucas wide-beam fog/cornering lamps, overdrive, power brakes, inertia reel safety belts, an electric cooling fan and a MotoLita sports steering wheel with wood rim.

The steering wheel still features the original centre part with turn signal switch and horn push button.

This gorgeous and well sorted example drives and handles like a dream and offers an exhilarating vintage open top driving experience!
