*Rover P6 3500 - One of the best on the market
*
Where have they all gone? Occasionally, we come across a beautiful Rover, and this one instantly brought a smile to our faces! A stunning Rover P6 3500 for sale, featuring the fantastic V8 engine, dressed in the legendary British Racing Green with a black interior. It doesn't get much better than this, today. At Gallery Aaldering, we are passionate about a wide variety of makes and models, and this Rover is undoubtedly one of them.

*Extensive Documentation
*
A quick glance at the stack of invoices immediately reveals that this car belonged to a true enthusiast. And it shows. This P6 has been meticulously maintained and cherished. The documentation and history stretch back 30 years, making it one of the best examples available on the market today.

*Restored and in Great Condition
*
This Rover P6 3500 has undergone comprehensive restoration and mechanical refurbishment. The British Racing Green paintwork looks stunning, has been expertly resprayed, and the bodywork is in great shape. A few charming details: the spare wheel mounted on the trunk lid (doesn’t that add to the charm?) and the Rover-branded mud flaps, which complete the 1970s aesthetic. The chrome bumpers and windows are in good condition, and the Webasto sunroof is a fantastic addition, perfect for summer drives.

Step inside, and the black leather upholstery greets you in pristine condition. The thick beige carpets feel luxurious, and the headliner is in great shape. The thin-rimmed steering wheel is a joy to hold, making one wonder—why do modern cars insist on such thick steering wheels? This one fits perfectly in the hand.

*Supremely Comfortable Rover
*
Take a look at the small wheels with their relatively large tires. What does that do for handling? Exactly. It delivers an incredibly comfortable ride. A Rover P6 offers a level of comfort that modern cars often struggle to match. Driving this car is a true pleasure, and thanks to the mechanical refurbishments, it performs beautifully. The V8 engine sounds magnificent, the automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and the handling is wonderfully refined. The LPG system operates without issues.

*History of the Rover P6
*
Rover is an incredibly old brand, something we don’t always fully appreciate. Founded in 1878 by John Kemp Starley, Rover began producing cars in 1904. Over the years, they made some remarkable and even eccentric vehicles. Ever heard of the JET1? It was equipped with a gas turbine engine and reached 240 km/h!

Fast-forwarding to the 1950s, Rover needed a modern successor to the aging P4 model. By 1958, Rover engineers were already developing prototypes, which underwent extensive testing. After several refinements, the P6 debuted in 1963 and remained in production in various forms until 1977. This completely new design was a departure from its predecessor, appealing to a broader audience with its fresh and modern look.

In 1968, the Rover 3500 was introduced, featuring a powerful V8 engine that weighed nearly the same as the four-cylinder engine used in the 2000 model. This legendary engine, originally derived from Buick’s 3.5-liter V8, was refined and perfected by Rover. It went on to become one of the most iconic power plants in British automotive history.
