Description

This beautiful Porsche Turbo Cabriolet was manufactured on the 13th June 1988 finished in the highly desirable triple Black. Charles Follet Limited in St John’s Wood, London supplied the car new to the owner of a PLC. The 930 Turbo was ordered with optional equipment to include recoil bumpers, heated seats, sports seats with electric height adjustment, power operated hood, amplifier system and the luggage compartment trimmed in Black Velour carpet.

This very correct car has covered 100,000 miles and has been incredibly well maintained right throughout its lift. Supplied with leather wallet, manuals and two service booklets, we can confirm the car has an exceptional history. Charles Follet Ltd carried out the cars first two services at 1016 and 5451 miles before three specialists carried out the maintenance schedule at 14592, 25217 and 28722 miles in 1992 when fours years old. A German Auto Centre in London SE1 serviced the 930 at 38521, 48410, 56230 and 62496 before Parragon Porsche in East Sussex took over maintenance at 65632, 69060 and 71790 miles. Intaporsch serviced at 73193, 74312, 75905, 76912, 78658, 79833, 81570, 84164 and 84691 miles in 2003. Zentrum Porsche stamped the book at 88521, another Porsche specialist at 92068 and Goss Hall Porsche serviced at 93828 miles. Due to a completely full service book, a replacement booklet was ordered and this stamped up by Goss Hall at 98037 miles.

Accompanying the service books is a Certificate of Authenticity confirming all numbers and original specifications, original brochure, old V5's, various MOT's and a comprehensive file of service and maintenance invoices totalling well over £30,000 of work. Many of the invoices are for service book, but more major work includes a complete new clutch, heat exchanger and various ancillaries at 81570 miles at a cost of over £4000. At 83000 miles the gearbox was removed, dismantled and all syncro's replaced and at around 92000 miles a complete new exhaust system was fitted to the car. In recent years the 930 Turbo has also had a brand new hood. It's clear from the file this is a largely original car and there's no doubt it's been maintained with no expense spared.

This impressive example looks outstanding in its triple Black spec. The 930 Turbo already has a stealthy, aggressive stance and it is no doubt further enhanced in this colour scheme. Iconic for its wide whale tail and big turbo, this is a true Porsche classic and this example will not disappoint. The car is of a high standard throughout, the bodywork is excellent with superb straight panels and the paint finish has a lovely finish. Clearly this has never been a bad car left to deteriorate, the bodywork is first class. The wheels are excellent, the interior beautiful and original, the hood works perfectly and is in excellent order. On the road the car is equally as impressive. Performance, handling and general drivability is exceptional, and this very fine 930 Turbo will be freshly serviced for its next owner.
