Sometimes what makes a car special isn’t extremity, it’s perfection achieved at exactly the right moment. The Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera is a textbook example. A beautifully balanced 911, instantly iconic, and this particular example is especially remarkable: just 25,000 kilometers from new and single ownership.
By the late 1980s, Porsche had refined its formula. The 911 had already been in production for more than two decades, but with the 3.2 Carrera, everything aligned: reliability, performance, everyday usability, and unmistakable character. This was the 911 that proved evolution can be more powerful than revolution.
The 3.2-liter air-cooled flat-six was roughly eighty percent new, a detail often overlooked. For the first time, fuel delivery and ignition were electronically managed, resulting in an engine that was not only more powerful, but also smoother, quieter, and more dependable. With 231 horsepower, serious output for the era, performance approached that of early 911 Turbos, but without their temperamental nature.
In 1987, Porsche introduced the Getrag G50 five-speed gearbox, a development that transformed the driving experience. Shifting became more precise and perfectly matched to the car’s character. Many enthusiasts consider this the defining moment of the classic 911: the charm of air-cooled engineering combined with mature, confidence-inspiring road manners.
And then there is this example. Delivered new in the Netherlands in 1988, owned by a single caretaker from new, and driven just 25,000 kilometers. The car still wears its original paint, and it shows. This is not a restored car, but a remarkably preserved 911 that has lived a gentle life.
Finished in Indischrot, the color is vibrant, timeless, and perfectly suited to the late G-series aesthetic. Inside, black sport seats upholstered in velour and leather feature the signature period pattern, a combination rarely seen in such beautiful condition today. The entire car presents exactly as one would expect from such low mileage: exceptionally well cared for, with only the lightest signs of use.
Recently, the vehicle underwent a comprehensive inspection and testing by Porsche Classic, supported by a documented history that confirms the level of care this 911 has always received.
Today, the Carrera 3.2 is highly sought after. But a European-spec G50 Coupé, single ownership, ultra-low mileage, and original paint represents something altogether rarer — a 911 that has nothing left to prove.
