Near Passau, Germany - an MG in excellent condition awaits a new owner
We - my wife, our dog and I - drive several times a year to local towns covering perhaps 100 to 300 km each year. We will continue to do that until the car finds a new owner. I can no longer look after the car myself due to age - but I have enjoyed it over 17 years. The previous owner explained that the car had been in the UK, the US, in Switzerland where it was restored and then again in the UK. Although there was no proof at the end of the day, its history suggested that the car had been bought new from University Motors by Richard Burton the famous Welsh actor and that it traveled with him as he lived in various countries. There are certainly stories of him driving his red MG with Elisabeth Taylor in the passenger seat. An interesting concept. I brought the vehicle to Germany in 2009. The car is in good condition but not concourse. It starts first time. The brakes front and back were recently overhauled. There is a workshop manual (with exquisite hand drawn pictures) and a handbook plus various books about the history of the T-Series MG cars.
