With the R107 series, Mercedes-Benz created one of the longest-lived and most distinctive roadsters in its history. The original US Certificate of Title issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky is retained as documentation of this history. Finished in black with a brown leather interior, the 560 SL presents a particularly classic and elegant colour combination. The indicated mileage is 26,440 miles (42,500 kilometres). The Mercedes-Benz has been regularly maintained, with servicing carried out by Mercedes-Benz in Sierre. Documented work includes replacement of the fuel-injection system in 2020, as well as replacement of the fuel pump and fuel filter in 2019. In addition, the rear crankshaft oil seal, steering linkage, track rods and both lower ball joints were replaced. These works demonstrate the care taken to maintain the roadster in sound mechanical and road-going condition, rather than concentrating solely on its appearance.
