Mercedes-Benz 280SL (R107), built in 1985. Chassis number (VIN) WBD1070421A033316, engine number 11099012009854. Finished in silver-grey metallic with a black interior and seats with black/brown checkered upholstery, this 280 SL looks exactly as it did when it left the factory 40 years ago! This beautiful Mercedes-Benz 280 SL was imported from Germany to the Netherlands in 1997.

Between 2020 and 2023, the car was perfectly restored to the original specifications. The mechanical overhauls and maintenance work were carried out by Stern Manufactur in Germany. Everything was checked and, where necessary, overhauled/renewed. The bodywork and paintwork were restored to new condition by Eric Westerhof Carrosserie in the Netherlands. This stunning Mercedes-Benz 280 SL from the legendary R107 model series is in superb, top-notch condition, like new! The engine compartment, trunk, and underbody all look like new!

The soft top has also been replaced and is in perfect condition. The original hard top is also included. The hard top (painted in body color) is unrestored and in original condition with minor signs of wear. This is a sought-after, original European R107 SL, equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission and original alloy wheels with 205/65 R15 Michelin Energy tires (including the spare tire).

The Mercedes-Benz R107 was produced for 18 years, from 1971 to 1989, making it the longest-running model series in Mercedes-Benz history after the G-Class. When the R107 SL was new, it had no serious competitors in its class and in terms of quality; it was the best two-seater convertible money could buy. This top-quality example will be cherished by several subsequent owners/collectors for decades to come.
