1987 Ferrari 328 GTB
This Ferrari 328 GTB was delivered to its first owner in Boston on December 7th, 1987.
In those years, demand for any new Ferrari exceeded supply by far, and so, in order to find a car at all, interested buyers had to pay a premium on top of the list price to almost surgically separate owners from their newly delivered car.
The first owner of our car, a Mr. Mencoboni, took advantage of this situation and sold his newly delivered car on to a textile manufacturer from Reutlingen/Germany without ever having driven it. The new German owner enjoyed the car for a couple of years before he ran into financial straits. In 1995, he sold the car on to its present and second owner, who kept it in excellent condition throughout.
This Ferrari has always been properly serviced, even though it was hardly necessary, having covered just 17088 mls or 27400 km in total. The timing belt, tensioners etc. have been changed a few years ago, but afterwards the car was only driven a few hundred kilometres. We have therefore included a fresh timing belt and general service in the sale, which has just been carried out.
