Trade-in car. This BMW 1600 GT from 1968 is an iconic classic that has captured the hearts of car enthusiasts worldwide. With its timeless design and impressive performance, this sports coupe represents an important era in BMW history.
For the attentive reader, it is indeed a BMW and not a Glass, as most 1600 GTs are called. Between 1964 and 1967, Glas produced 5,376 GTs, including 363 convertibles. A further 1,259 BMW-badged cars were produced between June 1967 and August 1968.
The 1600 GT was developed by designer Giovanni Michelotti, who is known for his elegant and streamlined designs. The exterior of the 1600 GT clearly reflects his aesthetic vision, with flowing lines and well-placed details that create a perfect balance between elegance and sportiness. The characteristic BMW kidney grille dominates the front and is accompanied by striking headlights, giving the car an unmistakable appearance.
The BMW 1600 that we offer is in an original, unrestored condition that has always been stored indoors.
