Description

The Stoewer-Werke in Szczecin had been building cars since 1899. The company was managed by Emil and Bernhard Stoewer and became a public limited company in 1916. In the 1920s and 1930s, Stoewer went up and down, employing between 500 and 2,500 people depending on the order situation. Until 1933, Stoewer also built large cars with eight-cylinder engines, but smaller models were also needed in order to achieve the larger quantities. The V5 series was the first German production car with front-wheel drive and swing axles. The R 140, R 150 and R 180 were then developed from this. After the end of the war, the production facilities were dismantled.

Our Stoewer R 180 is a four-door saloon without a B-pillar to ensure easy access from the rear. This rare classic car has been extensively restored and is a piece of contemporary history.
