What a modern car it must have seemed in 1967. What a shape and such details! The Ro80 was not for nothing awarded car of the year. But what was NSU trying to achieve? The idea was to present a car in the (large) mid-range segment that would surpass all expectations of potential buyers and competitors. But how? For example, the engineers used a rotary engine for the Ro 80, because the advantage is that it (virtually) produces no vibrations. It didn't stop at the engine, though. NSU wanted to stay ahead of the competition for a reason. So, the Ro80 is equipped with front-wheel drive, power steering, independent suspension, disc brakes all around, and a body with low aerodynamic resistance for that time. The transmission was also unique because it was equipped with an automatic clutch. Despite the high expectations, the sales numbers remained low, but NSU has a very enthusiastic group of enthusiasts. Fortunately, because this special car, quite rightly, deserves it.

The model you see here is from 1976 and is a real time machine. Dark brown on the outside and beige fabric upholstery on the inside; what a wonderful 70s atmosphere that is captured! This NSU has travelled 96,000 kilometers and is equipped with a sunroof and comes with the original manual and booklets. This car was originally delivered in Germany and has German registration.

The exterior of the car is in neat condition. Both the body parts, bumpers, chrome work, and windows look good, including fits. The interior is truly fantastic. It is completely original and reflects the low mileage. Under the hood, we continue to use these terms because the whole looks neat and tidy.

Driving a NSU Ro80 is just as special as the car looks. It's pure experience, as this car benefits from the low mileage, and the whole makes a solid impression. The engine runs nicely, the semi-automatic gearbox does its job properly, and the suspension feels good, partly due to the independent suspension. With disc brakes all around, you are of course safe on the road.

This NSU makes a very well-groomed impression. With a low mileage, the fantastic interior, and the color combination that takes us back in time, this is a nice specimen and of course a special car.
