History of the series

The Mercedes-Benz SSK (Super Sport Kurz) was a legendary automobile produced by Mercedes-Benz in the 1920s. The SSK was an evolution of the successful Mercedes-Benz S, which was renowned for its performance and speed, it was developed specifically for racing.
First introduced in 1928, the SSK was equipped with an impressive 7.1-liter six-cylinder engine that produced up to 300 hp. This engine enabled the SSK to reach speeds of over 200 km/h, which was a remarkable achievement at the time.
The greatest success was the victory at the Mille Miglia in 1931, when Rudolf Caracciola took first place in an SSKL. The SSK was not only successful on the racetrack, but also achieved great fame and popularity outside of motorsport.
Today, the Mercedes-Benz SSK is considered one of the most sought-after and valuable classic cars in the world. Its unique combination of performance, style and history makes it a timeless classic that makes the hearts of car fans all over the world beat faster. The SSK is not just a car, but a symbol of the golden era of the automobile and a masterpiece of engineering that continues to fascinate and inspire even after almost 100 years.
