The Mercedes-Benz 500 E represents the flagship of the W124 range. It was produced from 1990 to 1995. Built in collaboration with the company, it was also partly assembled by Porsche. The 500 E used the 326bhp engine from the 500 SL, as well as its braking system. It offered a high level of performance for its time. This sporting saloon with its understated, bourgeois appearance was something of a sleeper and proved to be a formidably quick and comfortable machine. It was much sought after by sportsmen and businessmen in a hurry. Strong and reliable, it is not unusual to find cars today which have covered more than 300,000km and still drive perfectly. They were designed to cover long distances in record time and complete safety. Today, values of the model are continuing to rise in the classic car market.

The model presented here was delivered new in Japan on 4 September 1992. Its second owner imported it into France four years ago. This 500 E is in exceptional original condition and has covered only 71,000km. It has never been restored. The paintwork and underbody are perfect and entirely original. The combination of blue paintwork and the blue leather interior is unusual and very elegant. Its fully stamped service book attests to the thorough maintenance which has been carried out. It has also just been serviced by Mercedes. It is in perfect running order and will be sold with a 12-month warranty.
