The model offered for sale The model offered for sale was delivered new on February 28, 1936. It is a 170 B Cabriolet and is believed to have had several owners. The last owner carried out the restoration with great care, loving care, and true to the original until his death. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete it completely, so the car is currently 85 to 90% restored. As can be clearly seen in the photos, part of the interior is still missing. All parts required for the remaining conversion are almost complete and available for installation. The color combination of gold and black (Charleston) lends the convertible charm and authenticity. The soft top and headliner, as well as the leather upholstery, were remade and restored to their original condition. The boucle carpet is also present on the floor. The mechanical condition of the car is flawless and in excellent overall condition. The original engine (matching numbers) was (presumably) completely replaced. overhauled or at least checked by an engine specialist, e.g., compression test, valves, etc. There is no evidence of this. All hoses and connections were newly manufactured and rerouted. Based on a cost breakdown, the previous owner has verifiably invested DM 100,000 in restoration costs to date. The vehicle can be purchased at a preferential price or in exchange for a modern classic car of equivalent value (preferably a Porsche 911 built between 1970 and 1980 or a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda built between 1963 and 1971). We are aware that further work is required to complete the restoration. However, in return, you get a solid and professionally reconditioned vehicle that will bring the new owner great pride and much enjoyment. The current state of completion is estimated at 85 to 90%.
