Halfway through 1975, the international press got its first glimpse of the Jaguar E-type’s successor of, the XJ-S. Critics at that time may not have considered it a worthy successor to the E-type, but this highly streamlined coupe managed to endure for more than twenty years before the curtain finally fell on the elongated two-plus-two GT in 1996. Everyone praised its handling at high speeds, with cornering speeds soaring to the heavens.

Over the years, two major changes were made to the XJ-S. The first update in 1981 didn't bring significant visual differences, but by the second update in 1991, the car was ready to face the new decade. The name was changed from XJ-S to XJS. The car became smoother, with larger, rounder body-colored bumpers and flat, wide taillights. The flying buttresses that created the concave, sloping roofline remained but were slightly less sharp. Fortunately, its character remained intact, and now the XJ-S and XJS are gaining popularity, with the third series maybe the one to have.

The beautiful XJS Coupe you see here is a very late model. It was delivered on February 28, 1995, a year before the curtain fell on this magnificent model. It has a stunning metallic champagne-coloured finish which has been exceptionally well-maintained. The body, in its entirety, is in very good condition, and it's evident that this originally American XJS has led a very comfortable life.

The XJS is equipped with the beloved and sought-after straight-six engine, producing over 240 horsepower. The four-speed automatic transmission fits perfectly with the powerful and smooth engine, making the Jaguar an incredibly enjoyable and comfortable Grand Tourer.

Step into the interior and smell what a Jaguar of that era smelled like when you picked it up brand new. The upholstery is still in very good condition, with the front seats providing excellent comfort. It's unlikely that anyone has used the rear seats much. The stylish dashboard with numerous wooden elements has a typically British appearance and, more importantly, is in pristine condition. This XJS gives leaves one with a very original and cherished impression. It's not lacking in luxury and opulence either, featuring power-operated seats, cruise control, and air conditioning. Behind the wheel, the Jaguar exudes 90’s British prosperity. Simply magnificent!

The beautiful 4.0-liter engine is a true delight, both in terms of sound and sight. In those years, car engines weren't automatically covered in plastic covers, so there's a clear view of the large engine block. It doesn't lack power either, with 241 horsepower and 382 Nm of torque. On one hand, it's a comfortable GT, but on the other, it transforms into a true sports car, especially on long, winding roads. The straight-six is an incredibly enjoyable and powerful power plant! Invoices and documentation are included with the car.
