Description
The founder of the S.S. (Swallow Sidecars) brand, William Lyons, continued to develop the company with determination. In 1945, the company was renamed Jaguar. The Jaguar XK 120 was a stroke of genius. The sports car was actually only created because the new six-cylinder engine was ready, but the corresponding limousine was not yet. This appeared in 1950 as the Jaguar MK VII and, with a top speed of 160 km/h, was a sensation. The MK VIII was followed by the MK IX, the last Jaguar limousine with a separate chassis.
Our Jaguar MK IX limousine has been in Germany since 1994 and was restored “frame off” until 1999. It was then registered by the current owner. The powerful classic limousine with overdrive can also be used well on long journeys. The sporty character of this classic car never ceases to amaze – a British “gentleman’s car with a sportsman’s heart”.
