Description
Jaguar’s new sports car, the E-Type, was the sensation of the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. The modern design eclipsed everything. Initially, the vehicle was developed to follow up the successes of the C- and D-Type at Le Mans. In the road version, it became the E-Type super sports car. The 3.8 version became the 4.2. The Roadster and the Coupé were complemented by the Coupé 2+2. The Series 2 shone with an unprecedented suitability for everyday use, which is still too little appreciated today.
Our Jaguar E-Type Coupé 2+2 Series 2 was delivered in New Jersey and is equipped ex works with the rare Webasto foldable sliding roof. In 2011, the classic car was registered in Germany and has been used regularly by the current owner ever since. The Coupé has been overhauled, i.e. paint, seals and brakes have been renewed, the last service was carried out in September 2023. Although this classic can be used immediately, the new owner should nevertheless tackle some minor work.
