HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
This 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback was imported from Kaysville, Utah (United States) in 2019. It was then restored, including repainting the paintwork and overhauling the engine and gearbox. Many parts were also replaced, but the interior was kept as original as possible. As a result, the car is in very good condition, as evidenced by the 2022 valuation report. Many (maintenance) invoices are available for the car. The car has been restored with Dutch registration since 2021.

EXTERIOR
Words cannot express how cool this Mustang is! The 1966 Fastback is probably the most beautiful Mustang ever built, and this example is also perfectly finished in “Gunmetal Grey” metallic paint with black racing stripes. The paintwork is in excellent condition with no damage. Rims make the car, so beautiful 15" “American Racing” rims have been fitted. Naturally, they are in excellent condition and fitted with good BF Goodrich Radial T/A tyres. The chrome work and lighting of the car are also very cool and fresh.

INTERIOR
The interior is (largely) original and in good condition. The upholstery is in black leatherette. The driver looks out over the distinctive wooden/aluminium steering wheel and deep dials. A rally pack gauge cluster set with a tachometer and clock has also been installed. A modern “Retrosound” radio with classic looks has been fitted, equipped with a USB connection, Bluetooth and two additional speakers in the dash panels. The interior is an ideal combination of comfort, originality and classic looks. What's more, the Mustang is a 2+2, allowing four people to enjoy the Mustang driving experience.

TECHNICAL
Partly because the engine and gearbox have been overhauled, this Mustang drives fantastically. The “289” 4.7-litre V8 engine delivers 225 hp and runs and sounds fantastic. The engine is equipped with an Edelbrock 4 Barrel downdraft carburettor. The exhaust system has been replaced by a high-quality system with chrome tips. The 4-speed manual gearbox shifts smoothly and properly. The brake booster and front brake discs have been renewed. The underside of the car is also fresh and renewed, with no visible signs of rust.

GENERAL
The Ford Mustang is probably the most iconic car ever built, and was built from 1965 onwards. The first generation was built as a traditional coupé and convertible, but also as a Fastback. This Fastback has a sloping roofline that extends to the rear of the car, while the coupé has a more traditional, angular rear with a boot lid. The sportier look of the fastback is the most sought-after version and is characterised by its ventilation openings behind the side windows, which are part of the “silent-flow” interior ventilation system. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just under 8 seconds and has a top speed of approximately 193 km/h. The first generation Mustang was built until 1973. The Ford Mustang Fastback is still a popular classic car, best known for its streamlined design and powerful performance. The Fastback version in particular is a sought-after variant among collectors. Join many others in falling in love with this perfect version of the legendary Mustang!
