JME is delighted to offer for sale this superb example and freshly restored Austin Healey 3000 MKIII phase 2. This Austin Healey 3000 MK III chassis no. H-BJ8L/30618 has just been completed for the existing owners. Built on the 25th January 1965, this example of the Austin Healey 3000 MKIII left Abingdon originally Healey Blue and was exported to North America where it remained until its repatriation to the UK in 2015.

During the cars restoration it was painted its colour scheme of Healey Blue over old English White with Blue Leather interior. This final and most powerful incarnation of the ‘Big’ Healey has had all the desirable upgrades any Healey owner could require to improve the car’s reliability, performance & touring capabilities.

Restored on its original chassis, the car has excellent panel gaps. The car was rebuilt using all its original outer body panels.

Sporting a Richard Parker ultimate fast road engine producing 190BHP, incredibly well balanced and pulls effortlessly. Temperatures are controlled with a large core radiator and additional electric cooling fan. The fully rebuilt gearbox offers smooth gear changes with the overdrive engaging promptly and smoothly. The final drive ratio has been reduced from the original 3.9 to 3.54 to give the car longer legs and lower rpms for when touring.

All new full leather MKIII interior which has been fully tailored by our in-house trimmer to suit the car along with a correct matching Everflex hood and wet weather gear. Sound deadening & heat insulation fitted throughout has made the car an incredibly smooth and refined ride to produce the best road quality car available. This no expense spared 100% restoration has less than 500miles since its completion and is now ready to be enjoyed and toured.

Commissioning a specialist to restore a Healey to this standard and specification would now comfortably exceed £155K GBP.
