Description

Aston Workshop are delighted to present for sale this 1968 Aston Martin DBS. The car has undergone a sympathetic restoration at Aston Workshop, and has been upgraded to Vantage specification with a modern 5-speed manual transmission. Included in the restoration work was a bare metal respray to the popular shade of Cumberland Grey, the colour made famous by the James Bond films ‘The Living Daylights’ and ‘No Time To Die’.

The DBS featured in the only James Bond film starring George Lazenby as the international superspy, ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, elevating it to the level of fame reserved for Bond vehicles only. This car has a unique connection to that film, with George Lazenby’s signature appearing in the glove box.

The recommissioning work on this car included:

  • Upgrade Vantage specification with an original Vantage engine.

  • Fitment of our modern 5-speed manual transmission for a much improved driving experience.

  • Body and chassis recommissioning including floor, sills and A and B posts, and new door skins.

  • A bare metal respray to Cumberland Grey.

  • Refurbished interior trim, including new carpets in Wilton wool and a new headlining.

  • A full dash refurbishment.

  • A full restoration of the original wood-rim steering wheel.

  • Full overhaul of the suspension and braking systems.

  • Fitment of a new wiring loom throughout.

  • Fitment of a modern upgraded aluminium radiator.

  • Restoration and re-chroming of the bumpers.

Originally Burnt Almond with White Gold leather, the car was first sold through H.R.Owen with Power Steering and a Motorola Radio listed as optional extras. During its lifetime the car was exported to the USA, before being brought back to the UK by Aston Workshop.

This 1968 Aston Martin DBS is now for sale at Aston Workshop.
