The 8-cylinder Star Chief convertible was the prestige model from Pontiac at the time. Available in Deluxe and Custom trim options.
A first series, 1954 model it was purchased from a couple in the USA had been restoring the car however had not quite completed the restoration. Imported into the UK then subsequently on to Jersey 25 years ago by the current owner, who completed the restoration and included some upgrades.
Mechanically, it is in very good order with recent upgrades to include a rebuilt 6-volt starting system (dynamo, batteries and starter); radial tyres; aluminium radiator and an electric cooling fan.
The body is rust-free and in very good condition. Presents very well with good paint and chrome however it was noted the front wing has very slight damage.
The interior is excellent, see images.
An impressive motor car that drives very well and is in overall excellent condition.
