MG VA Four-Seat Tourer, year 1939. Chassis number: VA0902T, engine number: 2828. Finished in a two-tone green exterior, combined with a black interior, black carpeting, a black soft top, a black tonneau cover, and black side window frames. This beautiful MG VA is a rare 'Four-Seat Tourer'; only 564 examples of this type were built, out of a total production of 2.407 MG VA cars (including the Tickford Drophead Coupé and sedan models).
This MG was delivered new in the United Kingdom, where the car was extensively restored in the past with great attention to originality. A photo report of the restoration is available. The car comes with a very comprehensive history file, including exceptionally old British documents. The MG VA was introduced in 1937 as a larger and more refined addition to the MG TA. The model was built in Abingdon and combined the sporty character of the MG with greater comfort and practicality for longer journeys. The VA was powered by a 1,5-liter four-cylinder engine, derived from the Wolseley Ten, which ensured smooth and reliable performance.
This MG VA comes from a collection where the car had been standing still for a considerable time. The car is in very good, highly original condition and drives remarkably well for an 87-year-old pre-war car. The price below applies to the car in its current condition ('as is').
