BMW 2002 Tii, 1973. Chassis number 2718830, engine number 2718830. This car has matching numbers and matching colors and is exceptionally original! The car is finished in the original color "Chamonix Weiss," combined with a blue/gray interior with cloth and leatherette seats and gray carpeting. This is a highly sought-after original BMW E10 2002 Tii model from the transitional year of 1973, with the round taillights! In English-speaking countries, this version is called the "roundie." In terms of desirability (and within the BMW model range), the 2002 Tii is directly below the 2002 Turbo.
This beautiful example was sold new in Italy by BMW dealer Mariani Motors in Monza. All original factory stickers and the Mariani dealer sticker on the rear window are present, as are the original booklets! This BMW 2002 Tii is in unique, excellent, rust-free, and superbly original condition! The exterior bodywork was repainted in the original color about 20 years ago. The original paintwork is still present inside the engine compartment, hood, inside the doors, and trunk! It's barely noticeable that the car has been repainted; a job expertly executed! A special feature is the presence of an exclusive factory option: a perfectly functioning electric sunroof! A unique feature of the BMW 2002 Tii is the Kugelfisher fuel injection system, which functions perfectly and allows the 2,0-liter four-cylinder engine to perform powerfully. This power is transferred to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission, in true BMW tradition.
The Italian origins of this BMW 2002 are clearly visible in the beautiful 13-inch MOMO "Cloverleaf" alloy wheels (including the spare tire), which were only available as a dealer option in Italy. Moreover, this beautiful BMW 2002 Tii is equipped with the original headrests and comes with the original tools and booklets. The owner installed a MOMO sports steering wheel; the original steering wheel is included. As icing on the cake, the car underwent a major service in 2024, during which everything was brought up to date for €9.500. The invoice with a detailed description of the work performed is included: overhaul of the Kugelfisher injection system, overhaul of the cooling system including radiator (and replacement of hoses, thermostat, and water pump), overhaul of the brake system, new exhaust, new ignition, and so on. This rare, original example is a "holy grail" for the BMW E10 2002 enthusiast/collector. This super original car can be imported and registered worldwide.
