Descrizione
The Silver Eagle was a highly successful model for Alvis produced from 1929-37 with various engine capacities in the 2.0 to 2.5 litre range.
This car had many additional features when first produced with triple carburettors, dual fuel pumps, fan, special instrument panel and an Auster passenger screen. It left the Works on 3.9.31 for Taunton Motors then to Lt. Colonel H.Spencer of Taunton. It has had only a few owners, one for forty five years and has been maintained to a very high standard.
An advertisement in 2007 described the car as having a bomb-proof engine with Phoenix rods, the engine apparently rebuilt by Wilkinsons and registered as 2192 cc thus slightly over standard which produces around 80bhp.
Silver Eagles are very popular with enthusiasts providing a vintage driving experience with robust and powerful engines and this car is an excellent example.
