Description

We are delighted to once again offer this CP chassis number 150BHP Triumph TR6 onto the market. Our original RHD, home market car was supplied by us to the last owner, one of our regular customers who has been buying classic cars from us for almost 30 years. When supplied during 2023 our workshops prepared the car spending £2500 (including parts and labour) on work to include new front shock absorbers, new brake servo, front brake calipers, brake hoses, diff pinion oil seal, new door barrels and keys, some new bushes, a full service and some correct period raised digit number plates . The TR6 first arrived with us in the summer of 2023, it came to us with four other part exchanges in a deal against a Jaguar XK120 OTS we were selling at Goodwood Festival of Speed. It had been with one owner for three years having previously had a long period off the road. Considerable expense had been put into the car to ensure it was in strong mechanical order and road testing the car now and then, it most certainly does not disappoint.

Invoices for much of the work since 2020 are on file, this includes new anti-roll bar links and bushes, new trunnions, poly bushes, top ball joints and new fuel pump. A new differential pinion oil seal has been fitted, new seals fitted to the axle shaft and the diff gasket also replaced. The TR6 has also had a new heater matrix, heater vent, demister vent, heater valve and new heater hoses and duct pipe. Lots of work has also been carried out to the injection system with new metering unit, pump and injectors. In addition, the TR6 has been regularly serviced and a new set of tyres fitted. Just a few hundred miles have been covered since.

PMC 538L presents well with straight panels and a nicely aged, clean paint finish. The TR6 is a smart, usable example, it's not prepared for winning shows, but is ideal for touring and regular use. The exterior is further enhanced by new stainless-steel bumpers, a very good hood and the interior is sharp with new seat covers, dash trim and carpets. The boot compartment is tidy, the engine bay of a very good standard and the underside is structurally excellent. On the road our 150BHP TR feels strong, fit with a great engine holding excellent oil pressure, the gear changes are smooth and with working overdrive the car is great on the open road at higher speeds. A good value, very smart 150BHP TR6 that is fantastic on the road.
