Purchased by the current octogenarian owner; a car main dealer, in 1984 when the car was just 7 years old. He used the car very sparingly putting on less then 10,000 miles during his decades long ownership & having the car serviced as required at his main dealer premises in Northampton. The car comes with its original operators manual & books & papers.
This Silver Shadow has covered 78,000 miles from new with a speedometer head change at 72,000 miles fully documented with correspondence from Rolls Royce who also performed an unleaded fuel conversion upon the car. An unbroken chain of MOT certificates comes with the car warranting the mileage to be correct. A modern Kenwood sound sytem is fount in the centre Console.
The car has been painted once some years ago & had a few minor touch-ups done in the intervening years so it presents very well. The bottom part of the car is metallic sand with chestnut brown to the roof; a combination that suits the car admirably. To the interior is champagne leather in good order thoughout. The car is currently away having a full valet including a deep clean of the interior leather & carpets. We will rephotograph it once it is back. The dashboard woodwork is in generally good order with just a couple of minor cracks in the Lacquer.
This is a car that presents very well for its age & also drives beautifully. The engine is silent & powerful allied to seamless gear changes from the GM automatic gear box. It has an MOT though 2026 which it passed with minor advisories for assorted small items. It may be viewed by prior appointment in Northampton where it has resided since 7 years old.
