A fascinating combination of a heavy truck and a historic road tractor.
This Autobahn tractor from 1941 is one of only five originally built Autobahn tractors that were essential for the construction of the German motorways and each was given its own name – in this case “Lisbeth.”
The vehicle’s fully documented history is reflected in the original registration documents, which still include its first delivery.
Lisbeth was also used for police-related duties, such as recovering accident vehicles on the motorway and transporting heavy loads for motorway construction. This pre-war vehicle is powered by a 5.7-litre, 110 hp diesel engine from a classic round-nose truck. As part of this conversion, a compressed-air braking system and a 4-speed gearbox from the donor truck were also installed.
The driving characteristics and comfort are described as outstanding, while the vehicle’s impressive presence on the road guarantees a strong “wow” effect from onlookers. Yes, this pre-war vehicle is road-legal and TÜV approved, meaning it can be driven on public roads. Lisbeth is said to cruise comfortably at 100 km/h and reach a top speed of 120 km/h, even with the soft top open.
The current owner recently drove the vehicle approximately 650 km to our showroom without any issues.
