Hilton & Moss are pleased to present a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most exclusive and desirable modern Lotus models – the 2008 Lotus Exige S Sprint. Built to mark 40 years of production at Hethel, only 51 examples of the Sprint edition were ever produced worldwide, with just 27 for the UK home market, making this a true collector’s car.



This particular Sprint stands out, finished in the beautiful Persian Blue over Aspen White, a striking two-tone livery inspired by the iconic Lotus Elan Sprint of the 1970s. Bespoke Sprint decals and a unique interior set this car apart from any standard Exige.



Power comes from the superb 1.8-litre supercharged Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine, delivering 220bhp through a close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox. Combined with its featherweight 935kg kerb weight and Lotus’s class-leading chassis dynamics, this Exige Sprint offers a pure and exhilarating driving experience — 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds. This particular car however, has been upgraded with a factory-fitted Cup 260 upgrade, increasing the power to 260bhp, as well as the installation of integrated roll cage and forged Cup wheels.



In addition, the car features uprated Nitron suspension and has benefited from a gearbox rebuild, accompanied by the installation of a gearbox oil cooler and uprated Exedy clutch.



This car is confirmed to have been upgraded by Lotus Sport, shortly after production as a one of one build, as confirmed by the vehicles Certificate of Provenance. Work carried out included a roll cage, electrical kill switch and fire extinguisher, Ohlins suspension (since upgraded to Nitron), removal of air bags and installation of a removeable steering wheel, forged wheels, an accusump installation, 70 litre bag fuel tank, sport gear cables, plate type LSD differential, adjustable anti-roll bar, spherical TCA kit, uprated ECU and fuel pump, lightweight flywheel and sports intake.



The certificate also confirms that this is one of just 13 Persian Blue Exige Sprints built for the UK market, and one of 21 worldwide. The car is allocated as 1987 from the 40 years of production (Which only the UK cars benefited from) and was supplied by dealer Dick Lovett in July 2008.



Featuring an extensive service history, the car is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. As is customary with all vehicles at Hilton & Moss, this car has undergone a pre-sales inspection, led by one of our knowledgeable Lotus-trained technicians and will be provided upon sale with a fresh MOT and 12-month warranty. A set of black Team Dynamics wheels with all-weather Michelin tyres are also available with the car.
