This 'wide body' Ford Escort Rally car not only has professional rally styling, it also has the correct color scheme and is in very good condition. A lot has been changed to the car to make it suitable for the tougher rallies. The Burton four-cylinder in-line engine has had various adjustments, such as steel connecting rods, forged pistons and 48' double Webers, and is linked to a matched Quaife HD five-speed gearbox with BTS clutch. The rear axle has been reinforced and the bottom protected for the heavier road surface. The driver and his navigator take place in special Sparco Pro 2000 rally seats with four-point belts. For their safety, all prescribed facilities are available, such as a sturdy roll cage, a central fire extinguishing system and an adapted fuel system. The instruments are also suitable for professional rally work. The car comes with a separate bracket that can be mounted on the hood, with four Wesem halogen spotlights.
