Description

The Aston Martin ‘DB’ range is synonymous with high performance, luxury and beautiful GT sports cars. The Aston Martin DB5 in particular is arguably one of the most famous and iconic cars ever made. In many instances the very earliest or latest examples of a model become the most collectable, however the DB5's appearance in the 1964 James Bond film, Goldfinger, cemented its place in history. The all-aluminium bodywork was designed by the legendary Italian coachbuilder Superleggera and production of the model ran from 1963 to 1965 with just over 1,000 cars ever leaving the factory.

The team at Hilton & Moss are delighted to offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase an unrestored Aston Martin DB5 and restore the car to your exact specification. Whether it be a concours restoration in the cars original colourway or tasteful upgrades including Borrani wheels, air-conditioning and power steering the work can be completed in house by the expert Hilton & Moss restoration team.

With the values of classic cars steadily climbing and classic cars proving themselves as fair investments the desirability of the DB5 has only increased. Finding an unrestored example has become a near impossible feat with most cars restored and tucked away in private collections.

This particular DB5 is a genuine RHD, UK home market example that was first built in July 1964 and supplied to Brooklands of Bond Street, London. Leaving the factory in an incredibly rare colour combination of Black Pearl paintwork and White Gold Connolly interior this Aston is a real spectacle. This Aston Martin is also a desirable ZF 5-speed variant and the car was fitted with a variety of optional equipment from new including selectaride shock absorbers, chrome wheels, triple SU HD8 carburettors and Dunlop RS5 tyres.

Soon after delivery to the first keeper Mr R. Symonds the car was exported to America in 1965 where it remained until 2015 when the car was re-imported to the UK after over 31 years laid up in dry storage.

The very time-consuming aluminium body and chassis have been restored and the car is now ready for the new owner to finalise the restoration and complete the story. This Aston Martin is available for immediate viewings and the Hilton & Moss team can provide further images upon request.
