Descripción

The Speed Six variant of the TVR Tuscan, which debuted in 1999, was powered by a naturally aspirated four litre straight-six engine, which gave the car its name. This engine was developed in-house by TVR and was renowned for its power and distinctive sound. Producing around 360bhp, the Speed Six engine enabled the Tuscan to deliver blistering performance, with a 0-60 mph time of just over four seconds and a top speed exceeding 180 mph. One of the most distinctive features of the Tuscan Speed Six was its bold and aggressive styling. With its low-slung profile, muscular curves, and distinctive headlight design, the Tuscan stood out from the crowd and captured the imagination of automotive enthusiasts.

This example looks superb in its oh-so TVR colour, a light Alpine green with a Lagoon interior and is said to be an absolute joy to drive, truly one of the last real analogue sportscars. The car has always been particularly well maintained, with many invoices for servicing throughout the years. There is a note on an earlier invoice to say the engine was rebuilt at 9,500 miles, but there is no documentation to support this. In more recent years, the car was given a new clutch in 2017, only around 5,000 miles ago, along with many new bushes and seals at the same time. In August 2021, the car went to Python Racing Ltd, who balanced the throttle bodies. The car is now being sold mainly due to lack of use, the vendor feels now is the right time for the next owner to fully enjoy the car as intended. The car is in very presentable condition and is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate and many sundry bills and invoices. Consigned by Fraser Smith
