Descripción
- This TR6 was purchased in 1990 by the penultimate owner, who had been specifically looking for the top-of-the-range model: Pl version, early model year with the highest engine power, overdrive gearbox and long rear axle ratio.
- The vehicle was in moderate condition and needed to be fully restored. It was completely dismantled and the bodywork stripped of paint. Fortunately, one of the last original body kits was available. Hence, the TR6 got new floor panels, new fenders all around, new doors, rear and front panels, boot lid and bonnet.
- The chassis was dismantled, stripped of paint, repaired and plastic-coated with all axle parts. All wear parts were replaced.
- The engine, overdrive transmission and rear axle were overhauled.
- All attachments such as the fuel injection system, starter motor, alternator, etc. were overhauled
- The entire electrical system was replaced, and an improved wiring harness was installed.
- The interior was completely refurbished by an upholsterer with high-quality full leather, as was the soft top in Sonnenland quality.
- All work is photo documented
- The restoration was completed in 1993 and the car was re-registered.
- In 2015, the TR6 was sold to its current owner.
- Since its restoration, the car has only been driven 9,714 miles.
