1930 Riley Nine Brooklands
Chassis Number: 609960
Regiastration Number: FV1183
This Riley Nine was built in the spirit of the famous Brooklands Speed Models. This car was created by Riley specialist Allen Clear, using a combination of original, restored and newly sourced parts with the aim of capturing the character of the Riley works cars while remaining usable on the road.
The engine is the lively fully rebuilt 1087cc Riley Nine four cylinder which is a compact unit that suits the car perfectly. It has character and is very and eager to rev, with enough performance to make the lightweight chassis feel properly sporty.
On the road, this Riley feels light, direct and lively. The steering has plenty of feel, the short, sporting chassis responds quickly, and you get a real sense of what is happening underneath you. It’s not about outright speed it’s the character that make driving this Riley such a rewarding experience.
The car may be viewed by appointment in Antwerp Belgium. It is not well suited to people over 6ft tall & long of leg.
