Introduced in the early 2000s, the Newmar Scottsdale Class A motorhome quickly established itself as one of the most respected petrol-powered coaches in its class. Built by the highly regarded Newmar Corporation, the Scottsdale combined practical long-distance touring capability with a level of fit, finish and construction quality more commonly associated with premium motorhomes. Constructed on Ford F-53 or Workhorse chassis platforms, depending on model year and specification, the Scottsdale offered generous accommodation, multiple slide-out configurations and a thoughtfully designed interior featuring quality cabinetry, well-equipped kitchens and comfortable lounge areas. Newmar's renowned build quality was evident throughout, with aluminium-framed construction, effective insulation and its innovative ducted central air-conditioning system helping to distinguish the model from many of its contemporaries. Available in a range of layouts from approximately 32 to 38 feet in length, the Scottsdale appealed equally to extended holidaymakers and full-time RV enthusiasts. Combining reliability, comfort and impressive touring credentials, the Newmar Scottsdale remains a highly desirable American Class A motorhome and a compelling choice for those seeking spacious luxury on the open road.
This stunningly appointed Scottsdale class A 3201 motorhome by Newmar built on the Ford F-53 is a 33 ft example. Our vendor purchased this in the summer of 2024 with a plan to tour France with his family but only ever made one significant trip hence the very low mileage on this example.
Powered by a Ford 6.8 litre Triton V10 with a towing capacity that features a 5,000-lb hitch rating that allows for up to roughly 4,000 to 5,000 lbs of towing, this class A motorhome provides everything required for short or long term mobile dwelling. The floorplan is 32 feet and includes two motorised slide-outs in the master bedroom and main living and dining area. Corian kitchen countertops, ducted central air conditioning and solid hardwood cabinetry adorn the inside providing a spacious modern living area. During his ownership our vendor has spent in excess of £50,000 on part refreshing the motorhome, all new decals were put on just last year and new over carpets to protect the new shagpile carpets fitted. Recently MoT tested so that this example is ready to hit the road in the UK or further afield. Supplied with a folder with all user guides for every part of the setup and a side awning, this is fully loaded with more extras than you would typically find in a luxury home. A perfect base for the paddock, the road, the park… you name it this Scottsdale will provide the living quarters for your needs. Consigned by Mathew Priddy
