Uitvoerig gerestaureerde MG TF 1250
Met de TF sloot MG in 1953 het tijdperk van de klassieke T-serie af, en wel op de mooiste manier denkbaar. Waar de voorgaande TD nog wat eenvoudig oogde, kreeg de TF een lager geplaatste, in de neus geïntegreerde grille, schuin naar achteren hellende koplampen en een gestroomlijnder motorkaplijn. Het resultaat is een van de fraaiste van alle MG T-types. In 1954 volgde de belangrijkste update: de 1250cc motor maakte plaats voor de grotere 1250cc viercilinder, waarmee de TF 1250 aanmerkelijk vlotter en soepeler werd. Deze motor is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde vierversnellingsbak, precies zoals het bij een echte Britse sportwagen hoort. Deze TF 1250 uit 1954 is uitvoerig gerestaureerd en de onderhoudshistorie van de vorige eigenaar is aanwezig, wat een mooi beeld geeft van hoe deze klassieker door de jaren heen is verzorgd.

Het rode lakwerk past de TF uitstekend en accentueert de vloeiende spatborden, de gestrekte motorkap en de karakteristieke, naar achteren aflopende staartpartij. De gespoten spaakwielen geven de auto een sportieve, authentieke uitstraling en het vele chroom op de grille, de koplampranden, de bumpers en de sierlijsten zorgt voor de nodige glans. Extra verstralers voorop en het extern gemonteerde reservewiel achterop versterken het rallygevoel van deze roadster. Binnenin vinden we een bordeaux rood interieur, met fraai gebiesde stoelen, deurpanelen met opbergvakken en een prachtig houten stuurwiel voor het MG-dashboard met zijn klassieke klokken. De beigekleurige soft top met zijraampjes maakt het geheel compleet en vormt samen met het rode lakwerk en de bordeaux bekleding een warme, klassiek Britse combinatie. Kap open, de wind langs de kleine ruit: zo geniet u het allermooiste van deze MG.

Extensively restored MG TF 1250

With the TF, MG concluded the era of the classic T-series in 1953, and in the most beautiful way imaginable. Whereas the preceding TD still looked somewhat simple, the TF received a lower-placed grille integrated into the nose, headlights angled backwards, and a more streamlined bonnet line. The result is one of the finest of all MG T-types. In 1954, the most important update followed: the 1250cc engine made way for the larger 1250cc four-cylinder, making the TF 1250 considerably faster and smoother. This engine is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, exactly as befits a true British sports car. This 1954 TF 1250 has been extensively restored, and the previous owner's maintenance history is available, providing a clear picture of how this classic has been cared for over the years.

The red paintwork suits the TF perfectly and accentuates the flowing fenders, the elongated bonnet, and the characteristic rear-sloping tail section. The painted wire wheels give the car a sporty, authentic look, and the abundance of chrome on the grille, headlight bezels, bumpers, and trim provides the necessary shine. Extra spotlights at the front and the externally mounted spare wheel at the rear enhance the rally feel of this roadster. Inside, we find a burgundy red interior, featuring beautifully piped seats, door panels with storage compartments, and a beautiful wooden steering wheel in front of the MG dashboard with its classic gauges. The beige soft top with side windows completes the ensemble and, together with the red paintwork and burgundy upholstery, forms a warm, classic British combination. Top down, the wind rushing past the small window: this is the very best way to enjoy this MG.
