The MG A 1600 Roadster is one of the most beloved British sports cars of the 1950s. Introduced as the successor to the MG TF, the MG A featured an entirely new chassis and a much more modern, streamlined body design. Thanks to its lightweight construction, precise steering and dependable engineering, the MG A became an icon among classic roadsters. The 1600 version not only offered increased performance through its 1,588 cc four-cylinder engine, but also featured improved brakes and a number of distinctive styling details that set it apart from the earlier 1500 model.

This 1959 example is presented in an older professional restoration and finished in a timeless red colour scheme. It is powered by the reliable 1,588 cc four-cylinder engine, paired with a manual gearbox. This is a genuine MG A 1600, retaining all of the correct model-specific features, including the proper 1600 rear lights, original wire wheels, correct bumpers, and, of course, the original 1,588 cc engine. In addition, this Roadster is fitted with a chrome luggage rack, a stainless steel exhaust system, the original MG steering wheel, and elegant leather seats with red piping, further enhancing its authentic sporting character. The engine bay presents an honest, uncleaned appearance, while the soft top remains in good condition.
