On behalf of a client, we are selling this stylish Mercedes-Benz R107 300 SL Roadster

The 1989 R107 300 SL embodies timeless elegance, superior performance, and true Mercedes-Benz engineering.

It was produced in three generations from 1971, as the successor to the famous 'Pagoda' (W113), until 1989, each with unique features and engine options.

The third generation was introduced in 1985 after 14 years of R107 production. This final update to the legendary series was far more extensive than the transitions between the first two generations. With only 13,741 units produced, the powerful 300 SL Cabriolet is a relatively rare model within the R107 family, a fact reflected in its collector value and demand.

The vehicle we are offering dates from the final months of the series' last production year and differs significantly from earlier models due to technical upgrades. The centerpiece is the more modern, powerful 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 180 hp and KE-Jetronic, a mechanical-hydraulic injection system with electronic control capable of ensuring continuous injection. This model also features a catalytic converter.

The vehicle was first delivered to a Mercedes-Benz factory employee, who, after a year of driving, sold it to a woman who drove it for nine years before passing it on to the third owner. After a short time, it changed hands again. This gentleman drove it for a full 20 years, lovingly caring for it. In 2020, the vehicle was acquired by our client.

A complete and detailed vehicle history, including service records with invoices and an appraisal from 2020 commissioned by the current owner, documents the SL's history.

It is in excellent condition, both technically and visually. Despite its age, it still has its original paint and very low mileage, which is verifiable from the available documents. Although it's perfectly suitable for everyday use, not least because of the included hardtop, our customer only drove it in the summer; it was off the road during the winter.
