The Range Rover 4.4 litre is a classic example of British luxury and four-wheel-drive engineering, combining impressive off-road ability with the comfort and refinement expected from a premium vehicle. As part of the third-generation Range Rover, known as the L322, it represented a major step forward for the marque, offering a more modern design, improved driving characteristics and a much more luxurious interior. At the heart of the model is a 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine, delivering smooth, effortless performance and a distinctive V8 soundtrack. Power is sent through an automatic transmission, providing relaxed and comfortable cruising while retaining the ability to tackle challenging terrain when required. The Range Rover's sophisticated four-wheel-drive system and high ground clearance make it capable away from the road, while its suspension provides a remarkably comfortable ride on tarmac. Inside, the Range Rover offers a spacious and luxurious cabin designed to make long journeys effortless. Leather seating, quality trim and a commanding driving position give the vehicle a premium feel, while the large windows provide excellent visibility. There is also plenty of room for passengers and luggage, making it a practical choice as well as an impressive luxury SUV. The styling of the early L322 has aged particularly well. Its upright proportions, large grille and imposing stance give it a presence that modern SUVs often struggle to replicate. The design manages to look sophisticated without being overly complicated, giving the Range Rover a timeless character.
Originally registered on 28th November 2002, this Range Rover was used as a press car in the Queensland leg of the G4 Challenge. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a good history folder, we are advised this Range Rover needs the rear jacking points welding for its MoT. It is being sold as a project, however, these robust L322 examples are starting to become highly sought-after. Consigned by Stewart Banks
