Jaguar has built an outstanding reputation for producing exceptionally beautiful, fast, and comfortable sports cars. After the Second World War, the XK120 became the brand’s first two-seater to be offered as a Coupé, an OTS (Open Two Seater), and a Drop Head Coupé featuring wind-up windows, quarter lights, and a more luxurious convertible top. The XK120 was succeeded by the XK140 in 1954, which in turn was replaced by the XK150 in 1957. The elegance of the XK models was second to none and played a major role in their popularity. In 1961, Jaguar’s successful XK sports cars were succeeded by the Jaguar E-Type, which continued the marque’s tradition of masterful design.

This Jaguar XK150 was originally delivered in Philadelphia, United States, in 1959. After approximately 35 years, the car was shipped to Germany. There, in 1995, it underwent an extensive restoration, the documentation of which has been carefully preserved. Numerous maintenance invoices and several appraisal reports from the years that followed are also included with the car. In 2020, the Jaguar received a complete bare-metal respray in Gunmetal Grey Metallic, as confirmed by the accompanying photographs. The car is still registered in Germany and retains its original engine.

Mechanically, the Jaguar is in excellent condition. The paintwork has a beautiful deep shine, as do the chrome trim and the interior. The colour combination is simply stunning. As the current owner has used the car less than originally anticipated, this XK is now ready for a new enthusiast who will enjoy it as intended: with the top down on the open road.
