We are pleased to offer this excellent Audi Cabriolet, a desirable late-production 1997 facelift example. It is finished in the striking and timeless combination of Cactus Green Pearlescent (code E7/Z6L) over a grey full leather interior, complemented by a black soft top. We believe Cactus Green to have been an expensive and thus rarely seen colour option.The car is nicely specified with all the right factory options including electric roof, heated seats, full leather upholstery, pearlescent paint, fog lights, power windows all round, remote central locking, interior wood trim and a wind deflector.
Produced in July 1997 and delivered to its first German owner on 15 October that year by Audi dealer Abra in Bassum, Germany (just south of Bremen), the Audi remained in Germany for over two decades, passing through the hands of only a select number of owners. In 2020, it was acquired by an enthusiastic Dutch owner who had been searching for the right example. Over six years and just 4,000 km, it was carefully enjoyed before being passed on to us in March 2026 showing just 123.400 km's from new. The decision to part ways with the Audi was quite a difficult one for the previous owner, as he is moving abroad soon and couldn't bring the car with him.
The Audi comes with a fully (near stoic) documented service history from new, including all documents (really, everything) including purchase invoices, maintenance records, MOT reports, parts, etc. Recent maintenance includes a service less than 1,000 km ago (June 2025), along with notable work carried out to some key components over the last few years; suspension, exhaust (€1,061.50), and a new soft top fitted in 2023 (€2,500). The previous owner also installed a modern Pioneer audio system with Bluetooth, DAB antenna, upgraded speakers, and a subwoofer, all discreetly integrated behind the original trim. An original-looking, yet fully up-to-date sound system, perfect for longer road trips, for example! The original radio and subwoofer are present with the car. As part of our sales preparation, a new set of Vredestein Ultrac tires has been fitted on the original 16" alloy wheels.
The car presents exceptionally well and remains in largely original, unmolested condition. The paintwork is mostly first paint, with a deep and consistent pearlescent finish. The body is accident-free, with factory-correct panel gaps and alignment all-round. The original wheels are in excellent condition, and the interior shows only light, age-appropriate wear. All electrical functions operate as they should, the roof mechamism appears and looks in near factory new condition as well for example. The Audi drives wonderfully well and feels very well put together, no rattles, squeeks or anything of that kind. It will be very difficult to find a better Audi Cabriolet, than this one.
The car is complete with its original tools, spare wheel, booklets, keys, and an extensive history file. It is currently Dutch registered (H-500-ZJ), will be supplied with a fresh MOT (APK), and can be delivered with correct export documentation for easy international registration.
