Presentata nel 1977 e prodotta dal 1978 al 1982. Fino al 1981 Bimota forniva un kit
per trasformare le Kawasaki Z1000. E’ il caso di questa moto, consegnata nel 1979 al vecchio concessionario Bimota Mengozzi.
E’ la prima Bimota con motore Kawasaki KB1, significa Kawasaki Bimota, 1 indica il primo modello realizzato.
La filosofia costruttiva è: telai artigianali, componentistica di prim’ordine e affidabili motori giapponesi.
