Description

For sale is a genuine piece of motorhome history: a VW LT 28 with the legendary Westfalia "Sven Hedin" conversion, built in 1982.
At the end of the 1970s, the Sven Hedin was the counterpart to the Mercedes-based "James Cook" and was considered one of the most advanced panel van conversions of its time – equipped as standard with a shower, hot-water system and the distinctive high roof developed specifically for it. According to the German Federal Motor Transport Authority, only a low two-digit number of vehicles of this type are still registered in Germany – a true collector's item.

The vehicle
• First registered on 25 March 1982
• Vehicle identification number: WV2ZZZ28ZCH011639
• H license plate (historic vehicle registration)
• TÜV Süd appraisal for classification as a historic vehicle in accordance with §23 StVZO available
• Independent valuation report from 2019 – condition rating "good"

There are currently a few minor areas of rust, which are disclosed openly – no hidden defects. All relevant repairs, receipts and restoration photos from recent years are fully documented and will be handed over with the vehicle.
Why this vehicle is special: The Sven Hedin is sought after by collectors and enthusiasts because it is rarely found on the market in original and well-preserved condition.
