Description

1949 Triumph 2000 Roadster
Registration Number: 435YUX
Restored beautifully over a 15 year period by a fastidious owner with some useful modern upgrades included. This Triumph Roadster ie resplendent in pale metallic Blue with the paint being pristine & having been the winner of various prizes.
To the interior is medium blue leather with blue carpets. All woodwork has been removed & refinished to show standards. A new Dark blue Mohair hood has also been installed. The usual twin dickey seats are also in blue leather in the fold out boot area which also contains a brand new spare tyre.
This Triumph is a serious performer compared to a standard car as it has a TR4a engine fitted running on a pair of twin choke Webber caburettors. The car was taken to the engineering shop of an F1 engineer & converted to hydraulic disc brakes to give it stopping power to match the engine. At the same time a brand new old stock gear box was sourced & fitted. Since then the car has covered around 5000 trouble free miles. The car has a high torque starter motor, alternator conversion, eletrical distributor, Kenlow fan, custom master cylinder, & alloy rocker box along with a full stainless steel exhaust. A new Differential was also fitted as was a new steering box.
Needless to say the car looks & goes far better then when new easily able to run in modern traffic. It is being sold due to the recent passing of the late owner. The upgrades make this a very very useable classic & it is indeed a pleasure to drive. A modern sound system is discreetly tucked away in the drives side glove box. This car was a labor of love for the last owner allowing the next owner to benefit from his amazing attention to detail.
