Description
After World War I the demand for larger cars, especially the ones with chauffeur, declined rapidly. So Henry Royce felt compelled to develop a smaller model, the "Twenty" which was introduced in 1922. Its outstanding performance for its size (100 km/h were possible!) made the Twenty very popular with its owners. The next version of this model was the 20/25 HP which was in production between 1929 and 1936. With 3,9827 cars the small Rolls-Royce was a big success.
The body of our Rolls-Royce 20/25 HP is an All-Weather Convertible from T.H. Gill & Son Ltd. It is a particularly high end and one of a kind car. Its gorgeous Art Deco mounts in sterling silver are remarkable. Its first owner was a Mr. Ferguson. The vintage car is "matching". It enjoyed a complete restoration by Bowling-Ryan Ltd. in Kearsley near Manchester. Today this classic is registered in Germany.
