Porsche revived the Targa in the 1996 model year. This popular variant was unveiled at the 1995 IAA in Frankfurt. The roof module is made of tinted safety glass and can be lowered electrically behind the rear seat bench. The new Targa was very popular right from the start and surpassed the classic coupé in demand. The popular air-cooled engines were still in use, but from the 1998 model year onwards, water-cooled engines were used.
Our Porsche 911 (Type 993) Targa is equipped with the Tiptronic automatic transmission. At the time, the aim was to offer gear changes on the road similar to those in Formula 1. This classic car is in top condition and ready for immediate use. It was delivered in Germany and has been registered with its second owner since 2008. The Targa looks really classy in its dark green metallic/beige leather combination.
